On Tuesday, the Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs will discuss and adopt its Budget Vote Report, and engage with the Kings and Queens Forum. The Portfolio Committee on Transport will receive briefings from the Department of Transport and PRASA on their strategic plans and budgets. Additionally, the Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry will delve into the Steel and Metal Fabrication Master Plan and consider its Budget Vote Report, while the Portfolio Committee on Agriculture will receive an update on the status of foot-and-mouth disease. The Portfolio Committee on Tourism will be briefed by the Development Bank of Southern Africa on tourism infrastructure projects.
On Wednesday, the Select Committee on Appropriations will address National Treasury responses on the 2025 Division of Revenue Bill. The Portfolio Committee on Health will consider and adopt its Budget Vote Report, while the Portfolio Committee on Trade and Industry will further examine its Budget Vote Report and receive briefings on Energy and provincial One-Stop-Shops, and red-tape reduction interventions. The Portfolio Committee on Social Development will be briefed by the National Development Agency (NDA) on its strategic plan and budget.
Concluding the week on Friday, the Joint Standing Committee on Defence will be briefed on the SANDF deployment as part of MONUSCO, as well as progress with the SAMIDRC withdrawal.
