- DA Federal Congress Elected New Leadership
The Democratic Alliance’s federal congress has concluded, with Geordin Hill-Lewis elected as leader and Ashor Sarupen as chair of the federal council. Solly Msimanga was elected federal chairperson, alongside deputy federal chairs Siviwe Gwarube, Cilliers Brink and Solly Malatsi. Mark Burke was elected chair of the federal finance committee.

- Mining Production Data to Indicate Sector Performance
Stats SA will publish February mining production figures, which are expected to show continued growth following a strong 4.6% year-on-year expansion in January. The increase has been driven by output in platinum group metals, chromium ore and manganese ore, pointing to sustained momentum in the sector.

- Eastern Cape By-Election to Test Local Support
