- Mashatile to Address World TB Day Commemoration
Deputy President Paul Mashatile, in his capacity as chair of the South African National Aids Council, will deliver the main address at the World TB Day event in the Overberg district of the Western Cape. He will be joined by Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, Western Cape Premier Alan Winde and representatives from the South African National Aids Council, alongside development partners, civil society and private sector stakeholders. The commemoration aims to raise awareness of the global tuberculosis pandemic and highlight efforts to eliminate the disease.

- Western Cape By-Elections to Test Local Party Support
Two municipal by-elections will be contested in the Western Cape, with the ANC defending Ward 104 in the City of Cape Town and Ward 5 in Oudtshoorn. Ward 104, which includes Du Noon, has traditionally delivered strong ANC support, with the DA also contesting the seat. The Oudtshoorn contest is likely to draw attention as an exceptionally marginal ward, although the DA is not participating.
