The National Assembly is currently in a constituency period from 2 April to 21 May.
In the National Council of Provinces the Upstream Petroleum Development Bill will be considered. The Bill provides for, among other aims, to provide for equitable access to, and sustainable development of, the nation’s petroleum resources.
On committee level, the final mandate meeting on the Climate Change Bill will take place. The Bill seeks to enable the development of an effective climate change response and a long-term, just transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy and society.
