1. Parliamentary Programme 


The National Assembly is currently in a constituency period, with the National Council of Provinces following suit next week.

NA Constituency Period: 19 June – 28 August 2023 

NCOP Constituency Period: 26 June – 31 July 2023 



2. Committee Programme 


With only three NCOP committee meetings this week, one meeting to highlight is a briefing on the controversial National Health Insurance Bill on Tuesday. The bill was passed by the National Assembly last week and is now before the NCOP for consideration. If it is accepted, it will be sent to president Cyril Ramaphosa to sign into law. Legal action against the bill is expected.
